Donor Acquisition Officer - Fixed Term

Location: Home Based & some travel to Holborn

Salary: £30,000 pro rata

Contract: Fixed Term, Part-Time, 20 hours per week

As you would imagine, the members of this autonomous team are extraordinarily methodical, yet highly close-knit.

How you'll make a difference:

In this newly created, fundamental post, you are going to be given extraordinary responsibility within Action for Children; jumping straight in to an exciting project to manage a workforce of face to face fundraisers across the UK, through a third party agency.

You will be first point of contact with our suppliers, leading on weekly status meetings, and manage day to day enquiries. Monitoring results against targets and feeding back to the agencies on performance, challenging where necessary and making suggestions for improvement, reporting back to Senior Officer and Acquisition Manager.

In the background you will Undertake and ensure that all campaigns are fully compliant. Ensuring all fundraisers are appropriately trained, complaints are managed, mystery shopping and call listening is in place and fundraisers and agencies are communicated with appropriately, whilst adhering to all legal and industry frameworks.

Coordinating the setup of new campaigns as required, including briefing the Supporter Care and Database teams, monitoring and recording all campaign costs.

What you will need?

Proven ability of working in a busy fundraising environment, working on direct marketing campaigns, including telemarketing and face 2 face campaigns. Experience of mobile giving and other DM channels would be an advantage.
Experience of briefing and co-ordinating the creative and production processes of a direct marketing project.
Experience of building learning opportunities into marketing projects in order test new opportunities and inform rollout decisions.
Experience of project management, including financial processes, budget tracking and reviewing results and analysis
Experience of working with suppliers, agencies, external fundraisers and developing good working relationships.
Experience of using marketing databases.The benefits and rewards:
