Leanne Scrogham, our Cumbria Area Manager is looking for support workers to work with a young man in Whitehaven. Supporting him in his own home, you would be expected to assist with activities of daily living and supporting him to lead his best life. He is keen to develop a weekly routine to meet his interests, and will need an enthusiastic team to help with this and to support with his physical health needs.

The successful candidates should be able to demonstrate energy and enthusiasm to support an individual with learning disabilities live independently in the community, and who has some experience in supporting individuals who present with behaviours which may challenge. They will also need patience and flexibility, attention to detail and have understanding/compassion to the needs of the individual and their family members.

We are looking for committed, caring people who are able to work block shifts. Full and part time roles are available, with both day and night support hours needed. This young man requires a predominantly male staff team, but females with the right qualities will also be considered.
