Care Assistant – Nights
Holmers House Residential Home
High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Salary: £8.41/hour rising to £8.71/hour after probation
Hours: Part time/Full time hours are available
Our client is a charitable organisation that has purpose built care home and has specially designed accommodation for people living with dementia.
We have 48 en-suite rooms, divided between its three self-contained houses, each of which has its own living room and dining room. All three Houses have access to the home’s wheelchair accessible, gardens.
People are supported by the team to live as independently as their health conditions will allow and care is personalised to meet each person’s level of need. Our staff team have built a warm and welcoming environment for the people that live in the home and have received training to support people with varying levels of need.
We have a non-uniform policy at Holmers House where we encourage the team to be able to express themselves and show off their own unique personality. This in turn allows people living in the home to feel more at home, allowing people to feel relaxed, happy and comforted every day.
Our team support people to live as independent a life as any health condition will allow.
Our ideal candidate will have:
Experience of supporting adults in a care setting or in the community, although we are keen to hear from people who are new to care and looking for a “rewarding career.”
Empathy, kind hearted and a great team player.
A great sense of humour and enjoys to have fun
An awareness and understanding of high quality care.
Good communication skills, patience and flexibility.
An understanding of safeguarding and person-centred support.
A flexible working pattern and able to do shift patterns including working alternate weekends.
Shift patterns will be 21:15pm – 07:15am
Experience is desirable, however, is not essential, as we offer full training for all of our team.
