Location: Dewsbury, West Yorkshire

Salary: £29,182 per annum (£14.02 per hour) - Negotiable DoE

Hours: Full Time or Part time available , site can be flexible to fit in with your requirements (11.5, 24, 36, 37.5 and 42 hours available) - please state your preference upon application

Further Details: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly qualified or experienced RMN, or RNLD to work within a Mental Health Hospital in West Yorkshire

Service Details:

The hospital have 2 wards. Ward 1 is A specialist 22-bedded male service set within apartment style sub-areas across a single story ward. This service is for individuals who require a period of comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation, to demonstrate progress in a step-down unit ahead of eventual discharge.

This service is also able to support those complex males that not only have a diagnosed mental illness but that also present with an undiagnosed or early onset memory related condition. The patients are supported to cater for themselves, take care of housekeeping and manage their own personal finances, gaining greater overall independence. The apartment style sub-areas can also be used by patients who are especially challenging, have significant personal care needs and require a low stimulus environment. We aim to offer a bespoke environment that can be flexed dependent upon the patient we are supporting, at any one point in time.

Ward 2 is a 16-bedded unit that provides specialist neurocognitive/dementia care service for males presenting with very agitated or aggressive behaviour. The gentlemen are admitted from a range of settings, which include those from placement breakdowns (either at their own home or a care environment), from acute psychiatric wards, or from prison settings. This ward offers assessment and treatment through to end of life care

The Hospital Manager is registered Mental Health Nurse, has over ten years' experience working in the health and social care sector, there is dedicated training onsite and a very supportive full MDT with excellent training and development opportunities.

Preceptorships are also available at site, the preceptorship package is a supportive structured process that allows newly qualified nurses to develop their skills with supervision and guidance. There are additional training and career development opportunities within the company.
