Stobart Aviation have an exciting opportunity for a Security and Passenger Service Agent to join their growing team based at Carlisle Lake District Airport.
Job Title: Security and Passenger Service Agent
Location: Carlisle Lake District Airport
Salary: £8,538.40 per annum + benefits
Shift Pattern: Part Time 20 hours per week
Security and Passenger Service Agent - Stobart Group:

What's the role?
Working in the Front of House Team you will be assisting the Terminal and Security Duty Manager to ensure that the service delivered to our customers is consistently professional and to an exceptionally high standard and regulatory compliant. All processes must be performed in a smooth, timely and accurate manner. You should be able to demonstrate a hard-working, adaptable attitude and be able to thrive on variety in the workplace.
What will I be responsible for?
To achieve excellent standards of aviation security customer service, quality and attention to detail, supporting the growth of the airport. Excellent communication skills and proactive approach to all work requirements and a team centered ethos. Confident and professional approach at all times that enables effective resolution of conflicts and delivery of relevant solutions.
- Carry out security screening of passengers and baggage in accordance with the latest CAA regulations
- Security duties including but not limited to Patrols, Access Control & I.D. Checks
- Provide and maintain an excellent standard of customer service
- Work cohesively as part of the team so as to maximise co-operation leading to the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation
- Liaise and work together with other departments to ensure our customers receive a high standard of service
- Deal with customer complaints/problems, at source where possible, keeping line management informed
- Ensure a record of any incidents/accidents involving customers, staff, equipment & aircraft are reported immediately to your line manager
- Ensure all paperwork and administrative duties are completed in a timely manner and relevant information is forwarded where appropriate
- Ensure compliance of all CAA, HSE and CLDA procedures at all times, keeping fully updated with changes to procedures or new procedures
- Undertake other activities to support the needs of the business as required
- Ensure that Health and Safety and adherence to CLDA, Customer Airlines and regulatory bodies' processes and procedures are maintained at all times
- To ensure the overall Passenger experience at Carlisle Airport is of an exceptional standard at all times
- Complete the check in and boarding process for passengers and their baggage, in accordance with airline and CLDA procedures (including check-in and boarding, customer service, PRM;s and lost property)
- Provide and maintain an excellent standard of customer service
- Work cohesively as part of the team so as to maximize co-operation leading to the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation
- Ensure effective communication with other departments as to maximise co-operation leading to the efficiency and effectiveness of the operation
- Deal with customer complaints/problems, at source where possible, keeping line management informed
- Ensure within your role as an individual or member of the Front of House team you meet any targets/SLA/KPI set by Airlines or CLDA
- Ensure a record of any incidents/accidents involving customers, staff, equipment & aircraft are reported immediately to your line manager
- Ensure all paperwork and administrative duties are completed in a timely manner and relevant information is forwarded where appropriate
- Ensure all equipment used such are checked and conform to Health and Safety standards
- Carry out any other reasonable task as requested
You:
Core qualifications
- English and Maths GCSE grade C or above
Desirable qualifications
- A recognised customer service training programme
Core experience
- First class interpersonal skills
- Ability to demonstrate evidence of enhancing the customer service
- Knowledge of airline systems and procedures
