Job Purpose

You will be responsible for the delivery of functional skills in English, maths and ICT for both apprentices and trainees. You will work alongside the Short Course Operations Manager, Programme Lead and Curriculum team to develop the training methodologies currently used within the business. The main aims are to work closely with the Operations and Quality Manager and establish effective ways of learning to improve learner satisfaction and success rates.

You will adapt different ways of working and will be able to establish individual learning needs and introduce new ways of working. You should identify best practices and bring individualism and personality to a standardised course.

Main Responsibilities

* Achieving 95/85% pass rates on the Apprenticeship/Traineeship programme for maths English and ICT at levels 1 and 2.

* Motivate and encourage learning and development through the team

* Recording and reporting on activity to management in a timely and professional manner

* Communicating with the Operations and Short Course team on candidates of concern

* To oversee the development and progress of all learners undergoing the functional skills programmes

* Providing, receiving and reviewing feedback from learners

* Briefing the candidate about the responsibilities, and behavioural practices

* Actively developing new initiatives and training methodologies to impact candidates learning

* Developing effective training plans establish the needs of both the Skills Funding Agency and the learner

* Ensuring that our training is perceived within the market as a high-quality provider of training solutions to both candidates and clients alike

Candidate Requirements

* Highly motivated, persuasive, persistent and patient

* Be professional, have a mature personality and can gain people's confidence and put them at ease

* Proven track record in developing learner progression through a series of learning stages

* Team player – willing to contribute to the business unit and not solely focused on their own personal goals

* This role is heavily focused on training and development and assessments to provide effective feedback

* Excellent communicator

* Have good administrative skills, be flexible, adaptable and be able to cope under pressure
