Job Description
Support worker
Salary £8.75- £11.33 Depending on Qualification and experience
Capital are currently recruiting for both temporary and permanent support workers to service our clients in the Merseyside area. We are looking for individuals who can contribute to all aspects of the physical and emotional care of Adults and the elderly to promote their welfare whilst working in partnership with the family and other professionals.
Purpose of Job:
* To provide responsive, consistent and effective person-centred care and support
* To operate within the Policies and Procedures as defined by the employer. To ensure a living and learning environment which offers opportunities, which promotes self -development, personal achievement and resilience.
* To ensure, through the application of consistent, effective working practices, the positive safeguarding and welfare of each service user
Experience of:
* Direct work Adults and Elderly
* Direct work with service users who display behaviours that challenge.
* Experience in, and an understanding of, managing risk factors as they evolve, including
* Comprehensive knowledge of Safeguarding issues and current Best Practice in relation to this
Knowledge:
* An understanding of a range of issues related to mental health.
Ideally Qualified in Care to Level 2&3
Experience:
* Health and Social Care: 1 year (Preferred)
Education:
* GCSE or equivalent (Preferred)
