Support Worker - temporary work
Required for a special educational needs college set in the beautiful Horsley Valley in Stroud, Gloucestershire. This college specialises in caring for 16 to 25 years with learning disabilities and other complex needs in the classroom, outside the classroom and in residential homes surrounding the site.
We required support workers who have worked with this age group to assist with a range of domestic activities e.g. cooking, shopping, cleaning, laundry. Be aware of the whereabouts of students/residents in your care at all times, and to help them plan their use of their time in a valuable way. Supervise and participate with students in social and recreational leisure activities e.g. walking, cinema, household outings, visiting their friends and family. On the education side, outside the classroom activities will include arts and crafts, pottery and farming.
Hours can be full or part time and can be agreed around your availability. We are looking for drivers with their own vehicle
Pay rate is £9.00 per hour for days with night and weekend enhancements
