We are looking for positive, compassionate and caring Support Workers to work within our Supported Living service where we support 5 people with a learning disability.
We have both full or part-time opportunities available on a permanent basis.
You will be responsible and involved in the everyday life of the people that we support, making sure that they are fully involved when it comes to receiving the support that they all need and want. Supporting with daily living tasks, finances and managing their tenancy will be a large part of your role, but that's not all. Being a Support Worker means that you also get to create some fantastic memories and take part in the fun!
Within this service we do provide slight personal care - we mainly encourage the people that we support to look after their own hygiene and personal care, although this must be something that you are comfortable to do if required.
As a support worker, flexibility is key for both yourself and for the service, as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts throughout the week, including mornings (ideal for you early risers!), evenings and sleep-ins (Payment for sleep ins is competitive and compliant with National Living Wage requirements). The best thing about flexibility? It's a two-way street. While we may require that you work a variety of shifts, we also understand that you’ll have your own requirements – have you got commitments on a Thursday? Not to worry, we can factor this in, as well as other requests (provided you give us enough notice) into our rotas.
