We are proud to be exclusively representing a hugely successful distribution business based in Chesterfield with their search for a Financial Controller. This business boasts increased turnover and profit figures year on year and forecasts continued growth in the future. This is a full time position however for the right candidate this business may consider candidates on a part time basis (4 days per week).

Reporting to the Managing Director and owner of the business the successful candidate will be in charge of the finance function for the business. Duties will include;

-Management of the finance team - Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant, Credit Controller and Purchase Ledger Assistant
-Production of monthly management accounts for three businesses within the group
-Production of quarterly consolidated accounts
-Production of the annual budget
-Attending monthly board meetings with the senior leadership team
-Cash flow forecasting
-Managing the invoice discounting facility
-Responsible for product pricing for customers
-Production of sales analysis reporting and KPIs reporting
-Approving supplier payments
-Dealing with escalated credit control or purchase ledger queries
-Overseeing Payroll and providing cover for during periods of absence

The Financial Controller is a key member of the senior leadership team and is strategically involved in business decision making. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a hands on role at the same time as being heavily involved from an operational point of view.

Other experience required:

-Qualified Accountant - CIMA/ACCA/ACA (QBE candidates will be considered)
-Proficiency in Excel - VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, SUM Ifs and will have ideally used Sage previously
-Experience in a similar role and will have experience processing payroll
-Leadership and management experience
