Outlook Care has opportunities for Mental Health Support Workers to join the team in Romford. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis (you must be able to work flexibly, on a shift rota basis, including some nights, alternative weekends and bank holidays) and you will receive a competitive salary of £17,550 - £21,060 per annum (pro rata for part time, hourly rate £9.00).

This Mental Health service in Romford is a registered Care service for people with Mental Health needs. The scheme houses eight people in single occupancy bedrooms. This service is two houses joined by an office in the middle. Four people live in each home. Each home has a spacious size lounge, a large kitchen diner where people are supported to prepare snacks and meals, and also has a utility room and two bathrooms.

The Mental Health Support Workers role:

Support individuals with complex and challenging needs in all aspects of daily living, including personal care to supporting them in leisure, education and social activities. Enable service users to express their rights, choices and aspirations. To ensure that the highest standard of care is maintained in accordance with Outlook Care's policies, procedures and CQC Fundamental Standards.

What we’re looking for in our Mental Health Support Workers:

- Experience is desirable; applications also welcomed from individuals with transferable skills.

- You will need to be able to work on a shift rota basis.

- Be a great team player, motivated, enthusiastic and able to build positive relationships.

- Excellent listening and communication skills are essential.

- You will also need to be able to demonstrate a good standard of written, verbal and numeracy skills, as well as good basic IT skills.
