The College is situated in Ewell, close to Epsom in Surrey, and is located in the green belt near Epsom Downs and can easily be accessed either by car (junctions 8-10 on the M25) or rail (Ewell West is close and the college is next to Ewell East where you can get regular direct trains to Clapham Junction and Victoria).  The College was last inspected in February 2016 retaining its overall grading of ‘Good’ under the robust new Ofsted standards. We are currently recruiting to the following position:  0.5 Computing Teacher From £14,239 up to £16,786 (additional market supplement available for an exceptional candidate) 48 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays plus Christmas closure (pro rata for part time) Nescot has achieved a reputation over the years for being at the forefront of Computing and IT training in the UK, and are therefore pleased to be looking to recruit to this exciting position within the Computing department. We require an experienced and enthusiastic Computing teacher to deliver on a number of programmes, preferably with a specialism in high level Networking and Programming. You will have demonstrable technical / vocational experience and the ability to teach across a range of IT provision including HND and Degree level. You must be open to change and have the skills to manage students effectively and meet challenges with a positive and flexible approach and be a team operator. Applicants should be well qualified and have the energy and enthusiasm needed to contribute to a successful College and department. You will be required to undertake a range of teaching activities and to contribute effectively to team working and providing tutorial support to students; you will also be required to IV, create learning materials and mark work and liaise with external examiners and external organisations. The successful candidate(s) will possess or currently be working towards a Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Systems or similar and a full teaching qualification. All applicants should be able to demonstrate effective information technology skills, knowledge of up to date application software and ideally possess vendor qualifications or certifications. Success in teaching HE learners together with an understanding of HE quality assurance and self-assessment would be an advantage for the candidate.
