Part Time 17.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Tutor in GCSE Maths and Functional Skills to join Goole College.
The post holder will work with students across GCSE Maths and functional skills subjects, providing a consistently high level of teaching and support to achieve student targets and maximise their value-added grades and progress.
Applicants need to be innovative in their teaching methods and must take the lead for their curriculum area whilst demonstrating flexibility, enthusiasm and most importantly a commitment to the student journey and their individual needs.
The ability to inspire learners through subject enthusiasm and bringing learning into life to meet the students’ needs is essential. The successful candidate will be level 3/4 qualified in the subject specialism and hold a Certificate of Education/PGCE or be willing to work towards this. You will be capable of working with a wide range of students and demonstrate excellent oral, written, presentation and organisational skills.
