GBR Recruitment Ltd are working on the behalf of a well established domestic electrical installations business, recruiting for a highly experienced Electrical Quality Assurance Engineer to carry out domestic property Electrical Installations training, auditing & QA duties helping the business to maintain the highest possible standards.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a time served domestic Electrician / Electrical Engineer or someone currently working as an Electrical QA Engineer within a comarable business.

The client is open to this role being a 5 day or 3 day working week, so they are open to applicants seeking different terms of employment at different stages of their career i.e. an Electrical professional seeking a permanent role, or someone seeking a part time role, or potentially someone who is semi retired or wants to be.

Role Overview:

Consistently and effectively complete electrical safety compliance inspections, audits and quality control checks for the companies electricians/sub-contractors. In addition, provide electrical technical training and coaching where required.

Duties:

* Undertake a predetermined number of ‘Work in Progress’ (WIP) and ‘Post job complete’ (PJC) audits as stipulated by the business.

* Investigate any ‘Causes for concern’ that are raised by operations and feedback to relevant manager/s

* Provide coaching and electrical technical training where required.

* Ensure all work complies with industry standards and company policies and procedures.

* Input defects and findings into Company ‘Safety Risk Report’

* Plan own workload to effectively meet operational requirements and those of Quality Assurance Manager.

* Preparing and maintaining KPI data

* Ensuring any relevant technical information is provided to engineers.

Skills & Experience:

* Recognised Electrical academic qualifications, Degree, HND, HNC, NVQ etc.

* Experience of working within the electrical industry with a detailed knowledge of domestic electrical installations.

* Up to date knowledge of current electrical regulations and legislation requirements.

* 18th Edition Certified

* Excellent communication skills.

* Previous QA & Auditing experience of electrical installations / works

* Demonstrated history in electrical training, coaching & mentoring role.
