An excellent opportunity for a Support Worker to join our client’s friendly and dedicated team, working flexibly in our client’s residential setting.

Salary: £18,681 pa (pro-rata for part time), £9.58 per hour if you would prefer to work on our Bank on a casual basis

Job Type: Permanent - Full Time or Part Time

Hours: Full Time hours - 37.5 hours per week

Location: Residential setting - outside Slamannan, Falkirk

Southfields care home provides care, support and assistance to adults between 20-35. All the adults supported have a primary diagnosis of a learning disability and may also have mental health or autism support needs and behaviours that challenge.

The role of the Support Worker is an opportunity to join an evolving Care Company. We are looking for a dedicated and empathic person. The Support Worker will provide personal care, emotional support and practical assistance to help people achieve their goals and aspirations, using appropriate makaton where necessary.

You will be provided with all the training needed so long as you can demonstrate the right attitude and commitment to our client’s ethos:

For the Support Worker role, good written skills are required to ensure that records are accurately maintained.

You will have a clear development plan, which includes a detailed training plan for all elements of the role, personal development plan, induction process, and ongoing supervision and appraisals.

Additionally, support and guidance is provided for all Support Workers to achieve their Care Certificate.

This position is for one of the services, located in a rural area outside Slamannan, near Falkirk. Experience of challenging behaviour and.or learning disabilities is preferred.

Whilst experience is not essential as full training will be provided we very much welcome previous experience working as Home Carer, Care Worker, Health Care Assistant, Support Worker, Nurses, Social Care Worker, Care Assistant, Mental Health Care Worker, Voluntary Worker.
