Nescot is a forward-looking College of Further & Higher Education that serves a large area of South East England with a wide range of vocational and academic courses, both full and part time. The College is situated in Ewell, close to Epsom in Surrey, and is located in the green belt near Epsom Downs and can easily be accessed either by car (junctions 8-10 on the M25) or rail (Ewell West is close and the college is next to Ewell East where you can get regular direct trains to Clapham Junction and Victoria).  The College was last inspected in February 2016 retaining its overall grading of ‘Good’ under the robust new Ofsted standards. We are currently recruiting to the following position:  Casual Learning Support Assistants Term time only – Minimum of 4 days per week £11.29 per hour We are looking for suitably enthusiastic and committed individuals who can help students develop skills and grow into independence. You could be working in a variety of different vocational contexts which require good organisational skills and confidence using IT for administrative tasks. We are looking particularly for people who feel that they have the skills and GCSE qualifications or equivalent, to help students not only improve but also enjoy English and maths. You must work well in a team and be able to work efficiently and effectively with other staff. Understanding of and empathy with students who have learning difficulties, are disaffected or have behavioural problems is a must. Some students may have physical or medical disabilities and you may be required to undertake some personal care. If you think that you meet these criteria, please apply.
