Voyage Care is seeking outstanding Floating Support Workers to work at our Supported Living and Outreach Services in Christchurch, Bournemouth and Poole.

Voyage Care Floating Support Workers provide support to adults with; Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder and Enduring Mental Health Issues,

Floating Support Workers will assist the People we Support in all aspects of their life that they need support. Support may include (but not be limited to):

  • Community access and social events
  • Undertaking hobbies and other interests
  • Assistance with daily household tasks
  • Listening and emotional support
  • Medication Administration
  • Personal Care
  • Financial Assistance

Previous experience in a health or social care setting working with individuals with Autism and Learning Disabilities is desirable but not essential. Voyage Care provide full training to all Floating Support Workers.

Due to the locality of the services it is highly desirable that Floating Support Workers hold a full driving licence and have access to transport.

Voyage Care are able to consider full and part time Floating Support Workers for these roles. All Support Workers will be required a mixture of early, late and long day shifts.

Please note that the roles will include weekend work, shifts on public holidays and may require some sleep in or waking night shifts.

  • Work within the company's ethos of providing person centred care
  • Are compassionate and understanding
  • Are reliable and conscientious
  • Have a good understanding of written and spoken English and basic Mathematics
  • Are flexible in the shifts they can work
  • Currently hold or are prepared to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
