We’ve noticed that ŠKODA cars are driven by a particular type of person. It’s nothing to do with age, income or any other social demographic, but attitude. They love driving something different because they’re driven by something different. Just like us.

Great products, potential for a global career, limitless opportunities – you’ll find it here at Volkswagen Group UK.  What really sets us apart is how we work – not how many vehicles we sell. Volkswagen Group UK has a unique culture, built on diversity, difference and a friendly rivalry that inspires us all. Across our brands and group functions, we learn from each other, encourage each other and regularly challenge each other to think differently. Our people have a true passion for what they do, a genuine desire to go further for customers and to give their own careers real momentum at the same time.

Great cars are one thing, but what sets ŠKODA apart from the norm is the dynamic, passionate team driving the successful transformation of the brand to new heights every day.  Now is the time to get involved. We are looking for a Media Relations Manager to join us on a 12 month FTC basis. You will be responsible for initiating and managing all UK press events for ŠKODA, ensuring all brand press events are managed to a high standard, driving media participation while managing production of supporting press material to support these events. It will be a busy but rewarding role!

Working closely with the Product Affairs Manager to produce a constant flow of newsworthy press releases on product, corporate communications, and all aspects of the company’s business. You will also support the Product Marketing teams with on reactive comment and press enquiries, while supporting the VIP customer team with any topics which may influence the media

You’ll have experience managing events, ideally in the automotive industry. You’ll be well networked and know a thing or two about journalists in this space. You’ll have the autonomy and space to use your creative vision on our events, delivered by third party agencies. You’ll have experience managing them and ensuring the business gets the best return on investment. You’ll work closely with the wider SEAT team and enjoy working with multiple stakeholders and building relationships at all levels.

In this role, you have the opportunity to make a real difference and to support the business to succeed with its ambitions for the future.

So what can we offer you? We know people value different things, so along with a competitive salary, car, fuel card and discretionary bonus, we offer a wide range of flexible benefits to suit you and your lifestyle.

Think you’re up to the challenge? We’d love to hear from you…
