Senior Landscape Design Manager Part Time 6 month Fixed-Term Contract (2 days per week) £47,848 per annum (pro rata to £19,397 per annum)
We are looking for a highly-motivated design professional to work as a Senior Landscape Design Manager within the Design team on a part time basis (two days per week – Tuesday and Thursday preferable but is negotiable).
As Senior Landscape Design Manager you will be:
- Responsible for providing high quality professional landscape architecture and public realm design, and guidance for the Development Directorate and wider organisation.
- Producing high quality design briefs, practice notes, standard planning conditions, assessment report, design proposals, feasibility design studies and design guidance. Document review and support complex procurement processes.
- Advising the planning authority on design and architectural aspects of third party applicant’s proposals within the LLDC area. This may include details and contextual analysis.
- Managing specialist landscape research and assessments.
The ideal candidate will have a qualification in a relevant discipline such as Landscape Architecture with substantial post qualification experience within an industry and ideally be a chartered member of the Landscape Institute (or equivalent experience or international qualification). It is essential that the successful candidate has demonstrable experience of managing projects, document preparation/writing and has a good knowledge of UK town planning system.
The organisation is about to enter into an exciting period of its existence as it will embark on the construction of the East Bank project – a new powerhouse of culture, education, innovation and growth – which will create sites at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park for Sadler’s Wells, BBC Music and the V&A (in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution), as well as University College London and University of the Arts London's London College of Fashion.
