Exam Invigilators
Uppingham School founded in 1584 is one of Britain’s leafing co-educational independent boarding schools, it is located in the small market town of Uppingham, amid the rolling fields of Rutland.
Position: Exam Invigilators
Location: Uppingham, Oakham

Hours: Zero Hour Contract - hours as required
Salary: £9.75 per hour

About the role:
We are currently seeking four well organised, professional and flexible Exam Invigilators to support the smooth running of examinations at Uppingham School.
You will assist the Exams Officer, Assistant Exams Officer and Senior Exam Invigilators in maintaining the security and smooth running of the exam rooms in accordance with external awarding body requirements. This will include keeping exam papers and materials secure before, during and after exams, supervising and observing vigilantly throughout the exams and ensuring candidates are dismissed appropriately after exams. You will invigilate pupils taking both Internal and External Exams.
The role is offered on a Zero Hours contract basis. The working hours will be variable in accordance with the exam timetable. The exams are held throughout the year, with the period between mid-April until the end of June (not including half-term) being a peak time in our calendar. There may be occasional hours available on the weekends in order to meet the requirements of the department.

You will need to be patient, calm and diplomatic with a professional approach to work and confidentiality.
Uppingham School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Successful candidates must be willing to undergo full screening in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KSCiE), including an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Issues relating to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils will be explored at interview.
