Role Overview

An opportunity exists for a Commercial Manager to join our internal Traffic Management business. Established within the past couple of years this expanding area of our business focuses on internal traffic management works across the UK. As the business area continues to grow we may see expansion into the external market. Reporting into the Principal Commercial Manager you will work closely with a small Commercial team, as well as a larger team of Operational and Finance Managers.



What will this role involve?

As a Commercial Manager at Amey you will be responsible for the end to end commercial process for internal Traffic Management contracts; working closely with the client, Highways England.

Day to day responsibilities will involve

  • Managing and maintaining our relationship with Highways England and subcontractors
  • Managing payments
  • Submit variations and early warnings
  • Produce monthly reports and CVRs
  • You may also be required to schedule in works using our SAP system



    What are we looking for?

    This exciting, hands on opportunity would suit a proactive individual with demonstrable experience of commercial management within a contracting environment. Experience within the Highways or Traffic Management industries would be advantageous, as would a relevant degree or qualification. The growth in this business area may well appeal to a driven individual who is keen to develop their commercial knowledge and career within Amey.

    Due to the nationwide spread of works this role is best suited to be based out of Birmingham, however a Sheffield base is also an option.
