Due to retirement, our successful client is seeking an enthusiastic and organised bookkeeper to join their small, friendly team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will have solid accounts experience and will also oversee all general office administration for the business.
Key responsibilities:
Provision of full bookkeeping, including sales and purchase ledgers, petty cash, bank entries
Monthly / quarterly financial and other general reporting
Daily use of Xero
Client invoicing
Salary management for staff and contractors
Management of contracts for staff and clients
Assisting with generation of documents as necessary
All office administration required to support the business including scanning, filing, ensuring databases are kept up-to-date and accurate, and occasionally answering / directing calls
Key requirements:
At least three years' bookkeeping experience
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Knowledge of accounting software, ideally Xero
Solid Microsoft Office skills
Reliable, trustworthy and customer-focused team-player, able to work independently
Due to a rural location, own transport is essential. Applicants must also be willing to undergo a DBS check.
Hours: Part-time. Tues-Fri, approx. 20 hours per week.
Salary: £12-15ph depending on experience
