Join our new Academy of Land and Environment and use your knowledge and skills to help our Further and Higher Education students and Apprentices achieve their ambitions and contribute to the development of new curriculum opportunities as we seek to expand our training provision.

The Academy of Land and Environment brings together expertise and resources from across Agriculture, Countryside and Horticulture at Reaseheath College to enable students to develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to shape the future of farming, food production and sustainable environmental conservation.

You will be based in our Centre for Horticulture, Environment and Sustainable Technology which boasts a new fully automated, hydroponic commercial glasshouse unit, landscape workshop, micropropagation unit, Mac suite and Design Studio and is set within 330 hectares of farms, parklands, lake, woodland and sports facilities.

If you are highly motivated with a “can do” attitude and maybe starting out in your teaching career with a desire to develop yourself even further in a varied role, then this could be the job for you.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong industry and technical knowledge and experience in the horticulture, landscape or environment sector or an academic background in landscape architecture. Ideally you will have some experience of teaching although teacher training, leading to a recognised teaching qualification, will be provided if required.

So, if you have excellent communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people, we want to hear from you! In return you can look forward to a great range of benefits including a career average pension scheme, free parking and the use of college facilities including our gym and Learning Resource Centre.  We also provide ongoing training and development opportunities within this supportive and friendly environment.
