We are looking for a highly motivated, organised and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with proven track record in infrastructure construction to join Barking Riverside Infrastructure Team.

Reporting to Managing Surveyor, the Senior Quantity Surveyor is accountable for all commercial and contractual matters of  several infrastructure projects at any given time. You will run the projects from inception to completion with minimum supervision from the Managing Surveyor. The candidate shall have a vision of driving the best value for Barking Riverside Limited via procurement and contractual management.

Applicants will have to demonstrate a record of achievement in a similar role with experience in infrastructure project and hold relevant quantity surveying qualifications.  You will have excellent communication skills and a demonstrable track record of building strong stakeholder relationships at all levels.

Barking Riverside London is a joint venture between the Mayor of London and L&Q to deliver a quality led new riverfront town in East London comprising of 10,800 homes, a new rail station, new schools and commercial and cultural offerings along 2km of south-facing Thames river frontage. Barking Riverside London will feature healthcare, schools, open space, public squares, new rail and river connections into central London, up to 65,000 sq.m. of commercial floor space including shopping, community and leisure facilities.

Most excitingly, there is an ambition to connect a new generation of Londoners to the River Thames and to design and deliver facilities, services and projects on the river frontage to create a new night-time economy in this part of the borough.

As Master Developer Barking Riverside is responsible for taking forward and coordinating all aspects of the design and development process as well as implementing the infrastructure works to transform the former power station site into a high quality development and help build a thriving, healthy community.
