Pertemps Medical are urgently looking to speak with a Band 8b Clinical or Forensic Psychologist as a great opportunity has arisen, for an experienced, passionate and enthusiastic individual to shape and form an innovative and crucial service within HMP Peterborough. This role offers an immediate start with the ideal candidate being available full-time although part-time may be considered. Person Specification HCPC Registration Significant Adult MH experience working in a forensic setting This role involves The Mental Health In Reach Team offers an integrated care model to deliver both primary and secondary mental health care. This is an interesting approach to mental healthcare which allows for seamless delivery of care to individuals that present with some challenging issues in a very challenging environment. The successful candidate will be expected to: - Undertake highly specialist clinical work to engage prisoners in specialist assessment, formulation based on relevant theory and research, evidence-based psychological interventions that improve outcomes for the Prisoner. - Supervise and support the Clinical 8A psychologist and the assistant psychologist in the team. - Supervise assessment and interventions provided by other clinical members of the team who provide psychologically based assessment and intervention/treatment. - Provide evidence-based clinical opinion on the current/future risk of harm to the prisoner and the evidence for psychological intervention to improve outcomes. - Provide expert psychological leadership, consultation, supervision, teaching and support to facilitate a psychological framework, skills and approach across the team. - Contribute to the professional governance and supervision of the planning, implementation, regular review and audit of psychological and other evidence-based therapies for prisoners referred to the service. - Undertake and advise on risk assessment and management; vulnerable adult assessment and management; formal assessment of developmental disabilities; the identification of a range of psychological issues including depression, anxiety, OCD, psychosis, psychological trauma, attachment disorders and the development of treatment plans. - Develop, manage and review research, audit, and outcome evaluationwithin the service. - Maintain communications within and outside of the service.
