Pupil Support Assistant
Clermiston Primary School

Salary: £16,287 - £18,316 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional 39 weeks) plus living wage allowance if applicable
Hours: 25.17 per week, 39 weeks per year
Days: Monday - Friday

We are looking to appoint two Pupil Support Assistants to join our experienced team.

Working hours are 25.17 per week (typical weekly timetable will be Monday to Thursday 8.50am to 3.20pm, less unpaid breaks, and Friday 8.50am to 12.20pm less unpaid break).

It would be desirable for the successful candidates to have:
  • A warm personality and a positive 'can do' attitude.
  • Experience of working with children with additional support needs.
  • Knowledge of using individualised programmes of work.

Clermiston Primary School is a non-denominational school in the west of Edinburgh located just off the Queensferry Road. The school has a large and diverse catchment and our roll presently stands at 470 children arranged in 17 classes plus 80 children across two Nursery classes and 15 children who attend Forest Kindergarten.

The Senior Leadership Team consists of Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, Business Manager and 2 Principal Teachers. The school also has a skilled and enthusiastic team of Class Teachers, Additional Support for Learning Teacher and Specialist Teacher of PE and Music instructors for brass and woodwind. Our support staff includes School Administrator, Facilities Technician, Early Years Practioners and Pupil/School Support Assistants.
