Position: Stroke Information Officer

Location: London

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: circa £30,799 per annum (including £3,299 inner London Weighting)

Contract: 12 month fixed term contract with possibility to extend

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Evaluation and Impact, the Stroke Information Officer will grow the ability to sense and respond to the changing stroke landscape.

Key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Maintaining up to date knowledge of external data and statistics relevant to stroke, including for example the Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme and the Scottish Stroke Care Audit.
  • Being the key internal source of expertise regarding statistics relevant to stroke working with teams including policy and influencing, media and PR, stroke support, and corporate partnerships.
  • Interpreting, analysing, and presenting external data and statistics so that it can be used with confidence by staff across the organisation.
  • Creating a portfolio of regularly updated facts, statistics and evidence relevant to the needs of the organisation.

 

About You

The Stroke Information Officer will have experience of:

 

  • Identifying and analysing publicly available data sets to highlight useful trends and statistics.
  • Supporting teams to achieve better use of external data and statistics.
  • Communicating facts, statistics and evidence in a way that is understandable and meaningful to a wide range of audiences including those who are not data literate.
