L&Q’s Resilience Officer is a new and exciting role responsible for developing and setting a vision as to how L&Q manages business continuity risks.  The role holder will be responsible for implementing the appropriate business continuity/resilience management framework, crisis management tools, methodologies and the provision of advice to all L&Q departments on key business continuity risks.

We are looking for a knowledgeable and passionate individual who is keen to embark on new approaches within an innovative team.  The successful post holder will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent with at least 12 months’ experience in a business continuity or emergency planning role. 

You will work under the direction of the Director of Risk & Insurance as part of our risk team and will take the lead role in designing and implementing L&Q’s Business Continuity approach.  You will work with all operational teams to assist them with the identification of business continuity risks and to act as the main support for Crisis Management teams during disruptive events.

Your other main responsibilities will include:

·               Design, Implement and maintain L&Q’s Business Continuity Policy ensuring the correct identification, assessment, monitoring, mitigation and reporting of Business Continuity Risks.

·               Facilitating the management of Business Continuity across L&Q including the implementation of appropriate controls.

·               Develop L&Q’s capability to anticipate, detect, respond, recover and learn from disruptive events in line with ISO22301.

·               Provide support and guidance to Senior Leadership during disruptive events

·               Ensure adherence to internal and external governance, regulatory and industry reporting requirements.

·               Proactively support and influence L&Q Senior Management on all Business Continuity Risk requirements.

·               Ensure effective liaison with internal and external stakeholders

 

To take advantage of this opportunity you need to meet the following criteria:

·               Business Continuity Management and/or Emergency Planning experience.

·               Ability to conduct business impact analysis, risk assessment, develop business continuity solutions and facilitate crisis simulation exercises.

·               Knowledge of regulatory and guidelines for risk management and mitigation.

·               Evidence of delivering a Business Continuity/Resilience programme.

·               Strong project management skills

·               Competencies - strategic planning. Ability to understand, identify and mitigate business continuity risks.

·               Confident, articulate and independent minded.

·               Soft skills - Ability to lead, coach and support other L&Q Crisis Management Team staff. Strong communications skills, proven ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels of the Group.

·               Business Continuity Institute (BCI) CBCI or higher qualification or willingness to study for the qualification.
