We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Financial Controller to join our client in a newly established finance team.

Position: Financial Controller

Location: Northampton

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: Circa £53,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller will

 

  • Be responsible for the Association’s financial processes.
  • Provide leadership of the central finance team at the Northampton Resource Centre.
  • Will ensure that financial systems, processes and controls deliver a robust financial control environment in a changing organisation.

 

Managing a team of 6 staff the Financial Controller will also be responsible for the following:

 

  • Monthly management reporting
  • External audit
  • Statutory accounts
  • Management of the working capital
  • Budgeting and forecasting process

 

About You

As Financial Controller you’ll be a qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPFA) with experience of staff management, production of monthly management accounts and annual Statutory accounts.

Strong system and communication skills are key, with an enquiring mind and ability to bridge the gap between finance and non-finance departments.

Experience of working in a health based Charity is desirable, but not required.
