Job Details

Why is this your next step?

The Project Manager role sits in our eCom delivery team and will operate within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). You’ll work alongside Epic Owners to deliver both business and technology outcomes, from initiation to post-release transition to Business As Usual, in order to realise the target value objective.

How will you contribute?

In this role, you’ll coordinate discussions between the Epic Owner and the corresponding Stakeholders and SMEs to define the Epic value statement, its potential benefits, the minimum viable product and success criteria with a lightweight business case. You’ll work with the Epic Owner to present Epic and its business case to the Portfolio Management team for approval and prioritisation against the current Enterprise Program of Record (ePoR). You’ll assist in decomposition of Epic into Features for program prioritization, including with teams outside the ART (Agile Release Train).

As part of this role, you’ll participate in the various PI Planning, System Demo and Inspect & Adapt ceremonies for those Agile Release Trains (and the other involved teams where they are not embedded within the ART) that are delivering upon the intended set of Features for the Epic. You’ll create the necessary project artefacts and tooling entries to track actual work effort across the trains and teams, track budget actuals vs. spend, and assist Audit process and transition of new services into Live. You’ll manage Epic programme wide risks and dependencies, support the RTE (Release Train Engineer) to coordinate work across their Agile Release Train, as well as coordinate delivery with other ART and 3rd parties.

Why you?

You’ll have project management experience, delivering technology projects with end to end project ownership. You’ll have a proven track record of delivery, experience with project planning, managing budgets, as well as risk and issue management. Experience working in an environment with Agile software delivery is key and SAFe experience is advantageous.

Key to the success of this role is strong stakeholder management with the ability to build good relationships with stakeholders across the organisation through honest and open dialogue. Agile qualifications like Scrum Master or SAFe is ideal as well as payment technology experience.
