Our team is responsible for functional and non-functional tests on one of our core eCommerce payment platforms, WPG (Worldwide Payment Gateway).

In WPG, we focus intensively on robustness, security and capacity, but with large-scale test automation and a well-tuned release machine. Change is deployed with no downtime; we upgrade the system whilst it is still running at top speed. That top speed is substantial; at peak time the platform can happily process 800 transactions every second, and on its busiest days over 10 million payments are successfully completed.

How will you contribute?

In this role, you’ll ensure efficient and effective testing of Worldpay products using appropriate strategies and techniques. You’ll work alongside the Automation Test Lead to progress automation backlog items, create automated tests to enhance the existing test suite using Selenium, and to convert existing manual test scripts/ cases to executable automated tests. You’ll conduct functional and non-functional tests on the Worldpay Payments platform, deliver products/change requests of the highest quality, and proactively identify improvements and enhancements on the platform.

Why you?

You’ll have previous test automation experience using Selenium Web Driver, the ability to refactor code to reduce complexity, and experience of testing applications written in Java. You’ll have a hands-on testing background, with in depth knowledge of software automation techniques, knowledge of software testing procedures and be skilled in test planning, test estimation, prioritisation and risk-based testing. Experience with Agile testing methods like BDD and exploratory testing are ideal, as well as experience with Jbehave and Cucumber.
