Education Network are currently recruiting Level 3 Nursery nurses for permanent posts in and around North Manchester - Crumpsall, Clayton, Openshaw and Gorton
Nursery nurses provide care for children up to seven years old. They assist in many aspects of their daily lives, through social, emotional, educational and practical interaction, nurturing and guidance. This is done from a variety of settings, but most often in preschools and nurseries.
You will be required to:
Help oversee, maintain and organise a clean, tidy and child-friendly environment,
You will need to supervise activities, such as messy play, crafts, cooking, reading and outdoor/physical pursuits.
Plan, observe and keep records that inform parents and carers about their child's day.
Other duties and responsibilities include:
" Feeding suitable meals, snacks and drink
" Changing nappies or helping with potty/toilet training
" Teaching general life skills, such as basic hygiene and manners
" Working with any health and social care professionals, where necessary, and undertaking any relevant admin/paperwork
Qualifications:
CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education, a BTEC National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development or an NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development are required.
If you enjoy working with young children 'hands on', nursery nurse jobs are for you. Nursery nurses assist with all aspects of a child's personal development. You will be based at private nurseries or those attached to schools, Posts can be either full or part time. Hours can vary and you might be required to work during holidays or at weekends. Some establishments allow nursery nurses to bring their own children to work. In some posts and circumstances, you may be required to work closely with social services.
