A 3 months contract opportunity for an Accountant has arisen with the local authorities in Bournemouth, Dorset.

A qualified accountant with a proven track record of working in a budget delivery/budget specialist capacity, generating comprehensive reporting outputs and supporting documentation, including detailed report writing and analysis, is required to take accountability for delivering 'Back Office' Directorate budgets.
This role will include responsibility for the CEO, CFO, CIO and Corporate Services Directorate budgets.

Skills and Experience:

A qualification from membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians level 2 or above
Budget preparation
Closure of accounts and Costing exercises
Monitoring statements, budgetary control and variance analysis.This is a part-time role (20 hours per week) and could be either 5 short days or 3 longer ones.
