Support Worker

You will join as a Support Worker Supporting the client to complete school work, engaging in age appropriate activities and after school clubs, to begin to increase independence, and completion of rehabilitation programs will also need to be undertaken within the working day.

Support Worker Responsibilities:

The role will require outgoing individuals, who are happy to work independently in the home, school and local community. As well as undertaking activities with the young lady experience of caring and supporting clients with personal care as well as supporting around the home with domestic duties is essential.

To work as part of a team to provide a 24hr care package to a young lady with Cerebral Palsy, including support and care overnight as the client may require.

Support Worker Requirements:

- Have the skills and knowledge to plan appropriate activities, have excellent time keeping and communication skills, be trained in manual handling, and personal care skills and have previous experience of supporting individuals.
- Previous experience working with children with additional needs is essential.
- A full and clean driving licence is essential to the role to support with getting to and from school and accessing the wider community.

Due to the nature of the role an enhanced certificate for the Disclosure and Barring Service will be required.

Job type: Full and part time hours available to work flexibly with members of the care team to provide care to cover day, night and weekend shifts.

Salary: £11.00 - £13.00 per hour.
