This beautiful nursing home based in Guildford (GU2) is seeking an experienced Part Time Cook/Chef to cater for up to 35 residents.
Beautiful, purpose built Nursing Care Home provides high quality Nursing and Dementia care in a luxurious and homely environment is now seeking a Part Time Cook/Chef.
Main responsibilities of a Part Time Cook/Chef
Homemade cooking with fresh vegetables cooked every day, plus breakfast and suppers to a high standard required.
Experienced in Stock Control, Budget Monitoring & Environmental Health Requirements
Ability to manage the small catering team
Good knowledge of Food Hygiene, Health & Safety and Infection Control
Ability to cater for 80 residents per day, offering excellent cuisine including soft meals and special dietary requirements.
Ability to assist to plan, design and update menus for the home.
Ability to adhere to the homes policies and procedures and make sure the team are as well.
Ensuring the Kitchen is kept in good working order at all times.
Skills/Qualifications/Requirements for Part Time Cook/Chef:
1. Previous experience in a care home or hospital or school is desirable.
2. Ideally will have an up to date Food Hygiene Certificate
