RGN - Critical Care / ITU Nurse

We are recruiting for a Critical Care Nurse / ITU for a GOOD RATED private hospital in Southampton. This is a very large hospital catering for outpatients and inpatients on day wards compromising 6 theatres, endoscopy and CCL.

In this role you will be expected to work on the multi-disciplinary HDU/ ITU unit covering a wide variety of clinical specialities mainly cardiac so experience in this field advantageous.

Duties and responsibilities

To deliver high standards of quality care by assessment at all times, evaluation and implementation of patient needs and guide others in this process.
There will be occasions where you will need to accept delegated responsibilities from the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse as required.
You will also be expected to participate through mentorship in the orientation and development of junior staff.
You will directly line manage a team of HCA's delivering their appraisals and setting their objectives as per hospital policy.
You will also need to work with the Critical Care Lead to improve nursing standards by providing support for competency assessments and practical training.REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in critical care/ ICU
Experience within General/ CardiacThis is a full time vacancy (37.5 hours) covering the rota, however part time hours would be considered for the right candidate. Salary will be £25,000 - £30,000 per annum + excellent benefits package and 33 days A/L
