We are looking for support workers to work in a college setting for learning disabilities in Stroud.

Your new company
Hays Social care are working with an outstanding college that look after children with learning disabilities and complex needs. The college boasts facilities that allow the young people to flourish. With a firm belief in educating children and developing key skills to allow them to lead a successful life, the college utilises farming, woodwork and creative design to develop their skills and grow in a supportive environment.

Your new role
The job is to work within the college supporting the students throughout the day through their activities and lessons, as well as then supporting them within the residential settings. As a Support worker your job make an unimaginable difference to their lives, you play a pivotal role in developing their key skills and helping with their emotional well-being. This is a position which will allow you to pick up part time or full time hours both on days or waking nights.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have experience working with young people and complex needs, ideally hold an NVQ level three or equivalent (although this is not essential) and hold a full driving licence. You will also need to have a passion to make a difference in young people's lives, have a calm and patient manner along with an understanding of Learning disabilities.

What you'll get in return
The ability to work flexibly as and when works for you, weekly pay, free DBS, free training, a competitive rate of pay £9.50+ per hour. The ability to pick up a permanent role if wanted and the chance to gain experience working with one of the leading colleges in the country.
