Service Care Solutions are seeking to recruit a Administration Officer on a Part Time basis for a client in Penrith.

The purpose of the role will be to ensure that a comprehensive range of word-processing, clerical and administrative support services are completed as directed by the Employee Services Team Leader, including ensuring that Payroll, Personnel and Training related administration are provided to Cumbria Constabulary through efficient working in the Central Services Department.

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide administration support to HR professionals for the recruitment of Police Officers, Police Staff, PCSOs and Special Constabulary, whether permanent, temporary or agency including assessments centre and/or interviews and the preparation of correspondence to candidates
-Prepare part time Police contract agreements and maintain records of the relevant Officers
-Calculate the entitlement to pay and allowances for Police Officers & Police Staff, ensuring all payments are made in accordance with Police Regulations & Police Staff terms and conditions.
-Ensure files are stored and weeded in accordance with force policy.
-Provide information for Freedom of Information requests and ensure that Force policy, procedure and legislation are adhered to.

Essential Experience:
-Experience of working in a HR / payroll administration environment
-Knowledge of current developments in employment law and good practice, in particular managing diversity
-Proven numeracy and literacy skills.
-The ability to co-ordinate the work to meet strict deadlines.
-IT literate in particular MS office applications and computerised systems.

Please note, as this is a role with the Police, the successful candidate will be subject to vetting, therefore will need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
