Our client is a charity that support people with learning disabilities in the community. They want to demonstrate that people with a learning disability can be leaders in society but they can't do this without you! They need Support Workers in Ely are to make our vision a reality.

Position: Support Worker
Location: Ely
Job type: Permanent (guaranteed hours), up to 39 hours per week - This role is shift work
Hours: Full time, part time and relief hours available
Salary: £15,922.88 - £16,776.07 per annum, £8.75 per hour, overtime and sleep-ins available

About the role:

Our client is looking for a number of full time and part time Support Workers. The role of a Support Worker is to ensure the people they work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.

Supporting someone with Learning Disabilities isn't just personal care; it's so much more. A Support Worker could be taking the people supported swimming, assisting with the weekly shop, or even helping to administer the right medication. The role of role Support Worker is incredibly varied, you will be supporting people with all aspects of daily living and no two days are the same.

About You:

We do not require you to have previous experience of Support Work, if you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you.

You'll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.

A driving licence is desirable, although not essential for this role. You will need to be flexible and able to work various shift patterns including early and late shifts and sleep-ins for which additional payments will be made.
