Bournemouth & Poole College has an exciting opportunity for a Catering Operations Supervisor to work in the Cafeteria at the North Road Site in Poole. You will be joining on a part time, permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £26,180 pro rata. The Catering Operations Supervisor role: You will be required to oversee the day to day running of the Cafeteria Service at North road and maintain all satellite sites, deputise for the Catering Manager as required and provide administrative support as necessary. As our Catering Operations Supervisor, you will: - Complete all Cafeteria staff appraisals for the North Road site - Conduct and record regular staff meetings - Complete Cafeteria staff probation reports for the North Road site - Supervision of North Road based Cafeteria Staff on a day to day basis - Deputise for the Catering Manager on all cross college responsibilities in their absence - Provide additional support to the Catering Manager with planning and advertising - Answering telephone, dealing with enquiries from customers and suppliers and booking of refreshments - Assisting with entering issue and receipt of goods - Adhere to and record all relevant food hygiene, health & safety documentation in line with legislation. - Assisting with preparation of Hospitality credit income documentation - Placing food orders by telephone, inputting invoice orders on the computerized accounting system.  Checking and querying supplier prices, carrying out price comparisons - Assisting with stocktaking and calculating the value of stock - Checking and balancing cash from vending outlets, maintaining and adjusting vending stock and change - Cashier duties as required including the balancing of cash, security of monies and ordering float change as required - Maintain records of relevant management information – wastage, cash analysis, orders etc - Manage kitchen and seating area and any other associated areas, keep them clean & free from litter. - Monitor discipline among students in close co-operation with security staff notifying tutors as necessary.
