Academics are recruiting for Support Workers to join a residential home adjoined to a special needs school in Lymington. They have full and part time positions available between Monday-Sunday so whatever your availability, please get in touch.
This would suit a Support Worker with experience of working in either a care or special needs environment or someone with a genuine interest and passion for supporting others as all training is provided.
Alongside various shifts, they also offer term time contracts (38 weeks a year) or full-time, 52 weeks a year as the residential home is open in the school holidays. This is ideal for parents who want to spend the holidays with their own children.
The role of a Support Worker involves:
enabling young people to develop and make progress
providing physical, emotional and nurturing support
working as part of a team to maintain a stable, happy and caring environment
ensuring health, safety, care and welfare of young people a priorityTo be a successful Support Worker you will be a strong team player, confident, motivated and well organised. Patience and commitment are essential, but above all you'll be someone with a genuine desire to help others.
