We have a role for a couple of months until Jan 2020, The main role will be

To ensure the smooth running of the office of the Community Mental health team by providing comprehensive, efficient and high quality secretarial and administrative services by prioritising and organising your day-to-day workload while maintaining confidentiality of information throughout the full range of duties involved.

To liaise with all the staff from the Older Adults Community Mental Health Team, GPs, patients, their carers and other health professionals.

To work as part of the CMHT to ensure smooth running of the service to cover sickness or periods of annual leave of colleagues.

Exercising judgement with regards to patient enquiries assessing urgency and taking appropriate action, some of which will be complex; analyse and resolve patient problems. Resolving diary appointments for the team.

Knowledge of a full range of secretarial procedures and software programmes through RSA3/NVQ3 or equivalent experience.

An understanding of medical terminology as well as knowledge acquired through further experience.

Prioritising the workload on a daily basis ensuring that clinical correspondence and reports are typed within Trust guidelines. Running the clinic diaries for the Consultant and his/her team, adjusting clinic appointments as necessary. Arranging Domiciliary Visits. Running the electronic administrative diary for the Consultant and arranging administrative meetings as necessary. Managing Performance: Logging referrals and ensuring patients receive initial appointments within nine weeks. Reporting statistics.

Advanced keyboard skills, touch/ audio typing.
