JOB TITLE: Patient Pathway Coordinator

We currently have some unique and exciting opportunities within Southampton University Hospitals which will allow the successful candidates to gain regular shifts and valuable experience within a variety of unique environments.

Band 3 - Example Rate

Day Rate - £9.62 per hour

Night/Sat Rate - £12.99 per hour

Sun/Bank Holiday Rate - £16.36 per hour

Job Responsibilities:

We are looking for a patient pathway coordinator/secretary to support the urology office in a temporary role. They will be working within the urology team supporting all aspects of a PPC. Responsibilities include:

- Acting as point of contact between the patient and the surgical team

- Managing patient pathways, chasing diagnostic and outpatient appointments as necessary.

- Using Alden to ensure patient clinic documentation is turned around in a timely manner

- Managing consultant diary, making sure clinical commitments are cancelled as requested.

- Booking adhoc outpatient appointments as and when required

- Other administrative duties.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, an ability to work well under pressure and as a team player. Experience in a secretarial role, preferably with experience of working in the hospital environment would be required. Knowledge of the hospital systems particularly alden, eCamis and CHARTS would be beneficial.
