FULL TIME or PART TIME CARER / PERSONAL ASSISTANT REQUIRED IN THE WINCHESTER AREA
We have an exciting opportunity for carers to assist and support a fun loving and intelligent young woman, who has a neurological condition, in attending the University of Winchester, where she is studying English Literature with Creative Writing.
£10 per hour salary - 12 hour shifts (days and nights)
During term time she will be living in halls of residence in Winchester. During student holidays and occasional weekends she will spend time at her family home in Worthing.
This role would be ideal for a student who can assist and help the aldy to flourish in the University surroundings.
This role will include providing personal care, medication administration, physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, domestic tasks (including cooking and cleaning), social support, and supporting attendance at university.
About You:
You must be flexible in your thoughts, adaptable to any situation, self-motivated, and reliable. A sense of humour and fun loving outlook on life is a must
A manual driving licence is preferred but not essential.
You must be prepared to travel to Worthing during holidays and occasional weekends, for family home visits. Travel expenses will be paid to Worthing.
Previous experience with medication and personal care would be advantageous, but not essential as full specialist training will be given. Shift Pattern: Winchester
12 hour day shifts and 12 hour waking night shifts
You will be working within a team providing care and support all year round. The shifts are on a rota basis and will include working some weekends and bank holidays.Shift Pattern: Worthing
16 hour day with 8 hour sleepover (24 hour shift)
You will be working within a team providing care and support all year round. The shifts are on a rota basis and will include working some weekends and bank holidays.Rate of pay:
£10.00 per hour days and waking nights, and £60.00 per sleepover
Travel costs (mileage/ train ticket) will be paid for travel when the lady is at her family home in Worthing. (the house in Worthing is located very close to the train station)Staff Benefits including:
28 Days Holiday Pay (pro rata), Company Sick Pay, Membership of a Health Cash Plan, Double Time Pay on Bank Holidays, Payment to attend all Training, Personal Development Opportunities.
