Carlisle Area, £10-£11 an hour, Temporary, Part-Time (mornings)

We are looking to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant/ Senior Teaching Assistant for a lovely rural Primary School on the outskirts of Carlisle. This will be an immediate start until the Christmas break, with the possibility of this extending over to the next term. You will need be strong with behaviour management and have experience supporting small groups of KS2 pupils and leading mini lessons.

• Qualified to Level 3 in a relevant TA qualification such as Supporting Teaching and Learning
• Successful experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in recent years
• Ability to support the classroom teacher, follow instructions and support pupils with learning


As a supply STA/ TA you will be expected to support the classroom teacher during lessons with English and Mathematics and also lead lessons for small groups of pupils. You will be expected to work with some students on a 1-2-1 basis who have additional needs and, in some cases,, challenging behaviour. You will maintain discipline with the pupils in your care in accordance with school policies and demonstrate good practice in the classes.
