Support Worker
You will join us as a Support worker to provide support to eligible customers living in Independent Living Schemes across South Gloucestershire, supporting those in need of long term or temporary intensive support.
The independent living advisor (ILA) will manage a caseload of support cases, carrying out support assessments to establish a customers’ need for support on a long-term, short-term basis in addition meeting outcomes to help our customers reach attain their best quality of life.
Support worker responsibilities:
- Delivering quality housing and support services to sustain tenancies and develop independence
- Designing and providing tailored support to customers based on an assessment of needs, adapting appropriately to suit individual customers
- Liaising with local agencies to access any specialist support
- Engaging with customers to build positive, inclusive relationships whilst reviewing the impact of the support and the next steps needed.
Support worker requirements:
- Is experienced in working with older people
- Is IT proficient
- Has experience of safeguarding
- Is able to understand the need for safety and security in our customers’ homes
- Has a full current driving licence and access to their own vehicle.
