Clerical Officer
Location: Birkenhead
Salary: £21,517 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Officer to join our busy Housing Services Team.
The role is on a permanent basis working 37 hours per week based in our modern Head Office in Birkenhead. The office is easily accessible from most transport links with just a short walk from Hamilton Square train station and local bus routes. Free parking is provided to staff either on site or nearby.
Responsibilities of the Clerical Officer:
- To be fully aware of and work towards achieving Magenta Livings aims and objectives
- To work as part of the Housing Services team in providing excellent customer service, not only to our tenants but to internal customers and partner agencies.
- To provide clerical support to patch officer, Tenancy Enforcement Officers, environmental services,
- To deal with all enquires and ensure they are dealt with appropriately and within timescales.
- To provide specific advice and deal with enquiries relating to housing management.
- To record and maintain performance data for housing services in line with agreed KPI’s.
- To ensure that GDPR is followed according to policy.
- To undertake all work in relation to enquires received and be fully confidant in dealing with difficult situations.
- To carry out general admin duties, dealing with telephone enquiries and ensure that voicemails are kept up to date.
- To coordinate workloads booking appointments for officer’s log jobs for contractors within timescale.
- To raise invoices and keep accurate records
- To carry out other duties commensurate with the grades as may be required
Requirements of the Clerical Officer:
- Be able to work under pressure in a busy environment
- Good operational level of ICT skills
- NVQ level 2 Business admin would be an advantage
- GCSE level of education or equivalent through relevant training/experience
- Excellent customer service – ability to deal with customers
- Be able to prioritise their workload and respond quickly to changes in the housing environment and respond to competing business needs
- Able to communicate to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, colleagues and external agencies.
- Be able to multi – task, display self-control, integrity and work as part of a team
- Flexible – a team player
