We are looking for an individual with a good understanding of HR and Payroll business processes and experience of working with HR systems who can help us build on our recent implementation of our Resourcelink HR and Payroll system. Working with the rest of the project team, you will be responsible for leading on new system initiatives and recommending ways that we could improve our use of the system.

You may have current knowledge and experience of Resourcelink, and if you do, that is great. Your HR systems knowledge may have been gained from working on other HR systems - and that is fine too. What we really want is somebody with a curious mind who has a desire to understand how systems work. You will need to be happy working with the business in order to help them to make the best possible us of the new system.

We are happy to provide the training and support required to familiarise you with the Resourcelink system.

  • Coordinating, booking and carrying out upgrade testing and configuration. Working with IT and wider system users to ensure that downtime is communicated.
  • Supporting the Payroll team with year-end activities, setting up pay elements, new pension schemes and complex costing requirements.
  • Managing user security within the system whilst ensuring the highest levels of data protection.
  • Regular auditing of the database to ensure data accuracy. Involvement in large data projects as required by the business; e.g.g mobilisations and organisational changes.
  • Being our expert for People and Payroll reporting out of the system via Resourcelink Reporting Services. Updating RRS with new user fields and delivering complex reports.
  • Upskill the rest of the Resourcelink project team. Provide reliable and hands-on support to our local People teams whenever it is required.
  • Become the primary point of contact with Zellis, raising new cases where appropriate and taking ownership of issues until they are resolved.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

The skills / experience required by the individual in this role includes:

  • Strong understanding of both HR and Payroll professions and relevant legislation.
  • Significant experience as an HR systems analyst / administrator within a large and complex organisation. Able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of both Payroll and HR processes.
  • Experience with SQL, specifically around MS SQL Server and Oracle Database environments. Experience using Microsoft Power BI advantageous.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages (Excel, Word and PowerPoint in particular).
  • Highly literate and numerate with great attention to detail. Able to identify where mistakes are likely during data collection and put processes in place to ensure 100% accuracy.
  • Excellent customer service skills. Able to articulate detailed concepts clearly and concisely in to stakeholders.
