Project Manager – Creative Communities

The role requires a passionate, enthusiastic and driven individual to engage people onto the Bromley by Bow Centre’s employment focused programmes. We are looking for a Project Manager with the desire to help people to engage with the Creative Sector to learn new skills, complete training and find employment both within the Creative Sector and wider. We are looking for someone who has the experience of working with all ages and has the skills to build new networks within the Creative Sector.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

- To successfully deliver to the project specification of the Local Community Fund (Theme 4 - Scheme C: Support focused on increasing access to art and cultural industries).
- To use the principles of Co-production to plan, implement and deliver a creative employability programme.
- To effectively outreach, engage and recruit clients as well as maintain a network of relationships with interested stakeholders.
- To engage with a minimum of 180 people by August 2022 from under-represented communities to increase their participation and readiness for employment in the creative sector.
- Ensure KPI targets are met by having a recruitment plan and registering local residents onto the creative courses periodically throughout the year. This includes initial assessments and enrolment and ensuring that learners are able to fulfil their Guided Learning Hours (GLH) within the timeframe.
- Work with the Community Learning Programme Manager to maintain effective relationships with appropriate stakeholders and develop links with individual organisations and networks of organisations including creative industries, employers, statutory and awarding bodies, borough based networks and sector skills councils

Project Manager Requirements:

- To hold a Level 4 Information, Advice & Guidance qualification Level 3 PTLLS or Assessor qualification (desirable).
- Project management experience: attention to detail, monitoring and compliance.
- Understanding of the creative industries or ability to engage with the creative industries.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in an employment and training environment.
- Experience of managing a budget, including monitoring and adhering to financial procedures.
- Proven experience of supporting people into sustained employment (13 and 26 weeks).
- Experience of supporting people from complex backgrounds, for example mental health, isolation etc.
- Ability to understand clients barriers to employment.
- Good understanding on the local labour market landscape.
- Excellent IT skills, proficient in key MS Office and the ability to use database and management information systems.

Salary: £28,500 to £33,000 per annum

Benefits: 27 days plus 3 days Christmas Closure and 8 bank holidays
