Pre-School Deputy Manager  Ruislip Term time only. Part time: 15-30hrs per week Exact hours can be arranged (pre times are Monday-Friday 7.30am-3pm) Our client is a small, relatively new pre-school which has been open for just over a year. Based in a church building with a bright airy hall, bright rooms and on-site parking, they pride themselves on creating a personal and homely environment for children and their families.  They believe every child deserves the best start in life, and they support this to enable children to fulfil their potential. They want children to feel at ease in a vibrate environment, where they feel confident to learn. They are now looking to expand further and are therefore seeking to employ a Pre-School Deputy Manager, to join their friendly team. Responsibilities include: Providing day to day care to children Acting as a key person Planning fun and stimulating activities Carrying out daily risk assessments Ensuring the safety of children Basic cleaning during the day Training colleagues Maintaining paperwork Stepping in for the manager when necessary As this is a newish pre-school, you can bring your ideas and experience to help build their setting to a thriving pre-school, and therefore grow further with them.  You will need to be confident in implementing the EYFS framework, policies and procedures as well as mentoring and training staff. The role will involve supporting the manager with the day to day running of the pre-school - this will involve staff management, updating policies and procedures, dealing with Ofsted, outside agencies and ensuring the pre-school is running smoothly.  Experience required: At least two years’ experience as a Nursery Deputy Manager or similar role in an early year setting Have proven deputy experience in a setting with a 'good' or 'outstanding' Ofsted Experience of working with a staff team Excellent staff management skills Be passionate about providing the highest quality of childcare possible The ability to work on own initiative Very strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent understanding of Planning, Observations and Assessments Qualifications required: Level 3 qualified minimum in Early Years and Childcare (Essential) An equivalent or higher management qualification and/or a further qualification in Childcare Up to date first aid (desirable) Up to date Safeguarding (desirable) If this sounds like the opportunity for you, please apply ASAP. *PLEASE NOTE – by applying to this position, you agree for your CV to be submitted to our client, who shall contact you directly, should your application make their short-list.  You also agree to our Privacy Policy: (url removed)./privacy-policy.html which can be found on our website
